What is lifestyle medicine and how can it contribute to public health?

Growing evidence demonstrates that lifestyle medicine can prevent, treat and reverse the effects of a range of avoidable conditions. NICE guidelines recommend lifestyle advice for a range of conditions.  But what should that advice look like and how is it best delivered?

We’ve brought together a team of experts to share their research and experience, and answer your questions on lifestyle approaches to nutrition, deprescribing, physical activity, shared medical appointments, social prescribing, sleep, mental health and more.  You’ll have a chance to hear from patients and practitioners who use lifestyle medicine successfully with life-changing results and improved QOF performance. The conference will focus on putting lifestyle medicine into practice and overcoming barriers, to improve health and quality of life for you, your patients and colleagues, and society.

The British Society of Lifestyle Medicine believes lifestyle medicine needs a “realistic team approach and recognition that not one discipline or profession alone can meet our health needs.”  The Unlock the power of lifestyle medicine conference aims to build on this sense of ‘team’, enabling speakers and delegates to share experiences and ideas, and collaborate.

So come and meet our experts, hear the latest research, get practical advice and ideas, network with like-minded practitioners and feed your medicine mojo!
